Frequently Asked Questions

No. This year we are manually timing the event and have a dedicated team in place to make sure that all times are captured accurately and that results are posted on our website and on Promo.com on the afternoon of the event. In previous years the Hurley-Hoey has been a Chip timed event but based on feedback from participants and with a view to maximising the monies that we are giving to our charities, we are manually timing the event this time around.

There will be two water stops on the route. The first water stop will be approaching the 4km marker and the second water stop will be approaching the 7km marker.

We have nine teams set up to manage various aspects of the event e.g. stewarding, water stops, parking, finish line, refreshments etc. We already have leads in place for all 9 teams and they are in the process of gathering their respective teams. We can assign you to one of these teams if you contact us via the ‘Contact’ link on this site or in the case of locals by giving your name and telephone number to any member of the organising committee or indeed any of the leads.
